Contrary to what one might think
percocet doesn't help one sleep. The opposite seems true, actually.
Or it might be the horse antibiotics they gave me, with side effects such as paranoia, nervousness, dizziness, insomnia, nightmares (presumably if you overcome the insomnia), numbness, twitching...
I tried a range of sleeping pills a while back, and none of them helped me sleep -- I was awake but dopey and slightly numb.
You aren't suppose to smoke it!

Heh.
It did, at least, give me some pretty fucked up dreams.
Percocet is a pain-killer, not a sleep aid. Try Ambien or Lunestra, or just take another Percocet and enjoy the buzz.

I wasn't looking for it to be a sleep aid, I just figured that a narcotic ought to knock me out, when actually it kept me awake.
Narcotics induce sleep. Painkillers may help you to sleep because you're pain free and sometimes are so strong they can induce a narcotic effect but they aren't narcotics.
Percocet includes acetaminophen, and oxycodone (an opioid).

Recently, when I was taking two percocets every six hours (or was it every 4 hours?), I was spending about 18 hours a day asleep, so I think it help (forced) me to sleep. However, the last time I took a night time cold medicine, I had a heck of time falling asleep, had all types of weird nightmares, and exactly 4 hours after the dose woke completely awake like someone had dumped cold water on me. Took another dose and had the exact thing happen, and haven't touched the stuff since.
different people, different effects.

Vicodin wipes me out, makes me sleep all day.
I'm always surprised when people know so much about drugs. I rarely take them, and when I do, I forget which ones I took (because it won't matter because I won't take them again for so long.
Anyway, isn't OxyContin what Rush Limbaugh was addicted to? It's the brand name for OxyCodone, which is an active ingredient in Perocet.
Anthistimines cause drowsiness, but I wouldn't take any without consulting my doctor.
I read about some morons who robbed a pharmacy and picked up a big bunch of oxytocin, thinking it was oxycontin.
Poor sad bastards. Just imagine how they felt when they tried a nice big hit of it.
Oxytocin induces labor.
