Reconciling assholes for nearly a decade.

Is this even rational?

Rational as in logical and appropriate in relation to the premise - yes.

What do you find irrational about it?

A lot of rational, credible people believe that they have seen or experienced these things. 2% of the population claims to have been abducted. I am sure there are plenty of cranks and attention getters in there, but there are still others left. What it all means I have no idea. Maybe it's the US version of India's demon monkeys that get the villages all in a frenzy every two years. Or maybe either or both aliens and demon monkeys are real. Who knows.

Based on ramblings posted here, I think the site is extremely credible.

"A lot of normally rational people believe there is a God, too."

You wouldnt say that in the presence of Albert Einstein. The hoax about him goes that he once tore his professor's arguments on the subject to shreds, yea , shreds.
Anyway here is how he would have done it, if he really did it - http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/e/einstein-god.htm
