has anyone seen or found or made any code libraries that do this? I want to use php to send an arbitary query to a mysql database, take the result (whatever it may be) and wrap it into xml....many of the mysql fields may contain arbitary binary data.

Im interested in commercial or open source solutions so long as they are *simple*, *reliable* and come with the source code.

should have added, the arbitary sql query will be passed to the php script from a client and may also contain arbitary binary data, inserts, deletes or any other possible sql query.
