Although there's no one on my idiot list and I don't agree with the idea behind Idiot-B-Gone, I am thankful for it anyway.
It introduced me to the greasemonkey technology and I can't stop playing with it.
It's great for enhancing minimalistic sites like google and this forum.
I don't use it for filtering but I do give "certain regulars" appropriate background colors / images.

It's also great for playing jokes on colleagues by installing scripts on their machines that "alter" sites they frequent.
"Alter" can mean just about anything ofcourse >;)

The folks who need to SHIELD THEIR EYES because they just can't cope with the fact that people think differently than they do are the ones who can't deal. I'd rather not be exposed to those folks anyhow.

It's all on them. I think it is a good bit on the side of being ultra anal to use it as a filter. Truthfully though, if someone would use it to filter me, I sincerely hope that they do.

Funny how the guy most against IBG is guy who makes lots of posts about his bleeding anus and itchy balls. Gee, who *wouldn't* want to read about that on a regular basis?

I suppose you could use Idiot-B-Gone to filter out "strong dissenting opinions."

Then again, maybe some people are using it to filter out idiots who only think they're offering strong dissenting opinions. I mean, it could happen.
