There's a guy here who's very smart but _very_ high-energy - almost hyperactive. He's got a kid who's also really bright, but apparently ADHD. We were talking to the dad one day and he was considering Ritalin and we said "what about all the concerns about it?" His reply: "I was on Ritalin and it didn't cause me any problems."

I just saw a documentary about ADHD the other day. The people who had ADHD and started taking Ritalin described it as "a cloud lifting" or "it's a if there's a light in my brain, and when I'm on Ritalin I can turn it on and off, but when I'm not on Ritalin, it just stays on."
