Can an iPod play DIVX, MP3 and MPEG formats?

it can't play DIVX

audio: it can play regular MP3s, AACs, WAVs, and AIFF files.

video: it can play certain sizes of MPEG-4 and H.264

Yes. The ipod shuffle cannot play video. Or DVDs.

Simple but obvious advice: Don't make quick purchase decisions while standing in a shop. If you are not sure what is best, go away and research it, then return another time.

And absolutely not in Radio Shack.

the RadioShacks guy didn't have it. Later yesterday, I saw a nice chick @ CompUSA. Man, she was awesome. She had the 60gig one and I wanted that but I'd already bought the nanno. But hey! I bought a DigiCam from CompUSA last night. It was cool!
