I swear you guys are on crack.

Still there.

I haven't deleted any of your threads either.

You are agigated again; this time by hoser.
Permalink Rick Tang

no, I can say with perfect honesty that hoser does not agitate me in any way.
he *also* doesn't annoy me, doesn't harass me *and* doesn't interest me much....except that his opinions about males wearing dresses are interestingly stupid, insofar as he genuinely doesn't see the problem with his "if my kids dont like what you are wearing then they have a perfect right to abuse you" stance on male attire.

Its a peculiar kind of stupidity, one that you tend to see a lot of in the more countrified places in america....a kind of genuine belief that there is only one possible inherently valid belief and value system, coupled with an shallow intellectual awareness that there is more than one, but no gut understanding of what that means and what the ramifications of it are.

Its actually a kind of ignorance that you dont see much in computer programmers IME, they tend to try and be aware of everything around them (in an intellectual sense), whereas this particular intellectual weakness is caused by standing firmly in one place and refusing to look in any direction other than directly ahead.

*is* hoser a computer programmer?

Gee, and over Christmas he was so calm. So calm he wanted ?off to wind him up again.

Be careful what you wish for.

BTW, did anybody hear Judge Alito testify yet? The extreme liberals seem rather torqued. The extreme conservatives say he's a shoo-in. The moderates on both sides are drawing lines in the sand. Should be interesting.

You're not a crack.. only the main JOS forum has the link. None of the other forums (Business / Design) have a link to ?off.

hahaha. Glad you guys brought this up because, if I hadn't followed Sharkfish into here, I never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever woulda found this place!

I've looked all over for that, or any other reference to an off-topic board. I see none anywhere.

Jesus is of the persuasion that if someone wears a pair of extraordinarily tight jeans that it would be a crime against humanity to say "nice ass".

Or if a man wears a dress, it would illicit no comment whatsoever - or if it did, that too would be a crime.

An adherent to "tolerance, my way or no way".

So you figure it's OK to demean someone solely on the basis that they wear tight clothing, too? Even if it's not solicited?
Permalink Mark Warner
January 9th, 2006
There is a difference between "not OK" and "crime", muppet.

For instance, "not OK" would be if you talked about wearing a dress. "Crime" would be wearing one and showing it to us :)

I don't know about the tight clothes, but it's certainly OK to demean smoeone solely becaues they post here.

hoser,

There's no difference between being deliberately abusive to someone and wearing unorthodox but tasteful clothing?

I reserve my abuse for this forum.

Nevertheless, would you limit my freedom of expression?

Of course not, hoser. If you want to be a horse's ass, then why shouldn't you be allowed? I'm just curious why you'd want to be.

"Jesus is of the persuasion that if someone wears a pair of extraordinarily tight jeans that it would be a crime against humanity to say "nice ass"."

ah, sorry?  where did I say that?

"Or if a man wears a dress, it would illicit no comment whatsoever - or if it did, that too would be a crime."

again, where did I say anything like this hoser?

"An adherent to "tolerance, my way or no way"."

allowing someone to wear a dress without negative comment is tolerance.
allowing someone to abuse you, or someone you know, is stupid.

abusing someone because they abused someone is just.

abusing someone because they wear a dress is intolerance.

Another form of expression: "pussy"
