DNS is STILL flaky for this siteAre you guys sure you have your nameservers set up properly?
Works for me, and when I did a dig I found it all correct as well. You've probably got some dns cache in the way, either ignoring the TTL or misconfigured.

Anything to do with the record on ns3.assortedinternet.com? It took a while, but it's working for me now both at work & home.
Be patient, young grasshopper. But that's the thing, it WAS working here on all my machines, both work and all my home ones, and then today it's not. And then later it is. And then later it's not.
It's not reliable. Everything redirects to crazyontap.codaris.com for me, and has always been that way. I notice that the Crazy On Tap logo points there too.
The "logo" just points to "/" so it points to whatever domain you're on. All links are relative that way.
muppet - you may be hopping DNS servers. Comcast probably have a bunch that service your area and you're getting one or another at any given moment. It could take a week or more for the information to fully propogate. I experienced the same thing muppet says. It was working fine. Then again it was not for sometime. Mat had posted a thread on this saying he was able to access some other way when it didn't work. I wanted to check with him but now it has started working again. The home page gets displayed correctly but when you click on a thread there is an error.
It seems to have three states of behaviour, and switches between them at random:
1) www.crazyontap.com works fine. 2) www.crazyontap.com seems to work fine -- the topic list shows up, etc., but clicking on anything brings up a 404, the post counts never change, etc. (presumably this is a chached page coming from somewhere, but I've flushed my local cache and it's had no effect). 3) www.crazyontap.com redirects you to crazyontap.codaris.com which works fine. My solution thus far has been to forget about crazyontap.com and always access it via the codaris route... It's odd that sometimes it works and other times doesn't, but I guess that's the internet for you. |
