Reconciling assholes for nearly a decade.

Has anyone ever earned a dollar as an Amazon affiliate?

Serious question.

I think that over the past 5 years I have earned a grand total of ....

Wait for it!

Drumroll please!

$1.25

We're talking about sites that average 12,000 uniques/month.

Should I just drop the affiliation?

Maybe you would earn more money if your visitors weren't made of socks and old buttons.

When maintaining multiple identities its well worth keeping track of which one you are at any one time.

While on the topic, I wanted to sign up in order to be able to download the Amazon Web Services APIs. But I am asked for a tonne of personal info, including SSN.

Is there a way to download those APIs without signing up for this Amazon associates program? I am getting started with Web Services and just wanted to use the APIs to try out some simple applications.

Get a TIN?

They need the SSN for tax purposes.
