South American state collapsing into chaos

My mistake, I meant North American:

I wouldn't.  Our implosion could be extremely messy for the rest of the world.

How far downwind are you of Russian territory anyway?

"I'm going to enjoy watching your country implode."

You should give them some tips. Poland's imploded more than once.

You're doing great guys. Almost as good as Poland in the XVIIIth century.

Extreme partisanship? Check
Inability to pass any laws or reforms? Check
Foreign powers messing about with your electoral process? Check
Hearking back to past glories while unable to fix the present? Check

Keep it on, fellas.

An opponent of the rightwing protestors mowed them down with a car and killed one. So this driver was hardly nonviolent.

Victorian Britain reached its peak power about 1850, after that it took them at most 100 years to lose it.

USA reached its peak power about 1950.

Yoda,

The US is in decline? Great to hear that since you are typing on computer with a CPU designed by an American company and connected to the Internet which was invented by an American group called DARPA.

If the US is in decline, other countries are sliding into hell holes. Look it up at France, Germany, Italy, and Britain.

Intel does a lot of R&D outside USA. E.g. in Israel (which is a US protectorate, but nevertheless it's not USA).

Anyways, it's less of an American Protectorate than the UK, but that's neither here nor there.

I heard a lecture by Mordechai Kedar, my "Rebbe" on understanding the ME. He was utterly baffled by the sheer incompetence and immaturity of the current administration. He assumed, like most Middle Easterners, that there was a public face and a very different private face; he's flabbergasted that Trump is exactly as he appears to be.

I asked him a question about MEMRI.ORG, but I didn't have time to tell him the cold truth: the US in 2017 is the Soviet Union in 1985.

Bullshit.

HRC was extremely unpopular and would have lost even without the DNC "hack", which turned out to be a leak by an insider (most likely Seth Rich).

I guess you need to wait to read the released unclassified reports detailing how the data released from Wikileaks was distorted by Russian action.

The polls come out of that -- and Fox-News and Breitbart ditto-heading all the Russian generated propaganda as if it were true.

It will all come out eventually.  You don't have to apologize until it does.

Wikileaks has never been shown to release inauthentic information.

Also, the government has never examined the DNC's servers to perform forensic analysis, because the DNC refused to turn them over to the FBI. Independent analysis of the dump proves the files were copied by a leaker, not accessed remotely.

But no, I'm expected to believe that HRC was a wonderfully qualified candidate, loved by the American public, until her reputation was tarnished unfairly by a foreign power. It's such a pathetic excuse for losing that anyone with half a brain can see through.

Not at all.  She was just more loved than Trump, by Democrats especially.  Which I'll admit was a VERY low bar.

She was virulently hated by Republicans, stoked as they were by lies and propaganda.  They like to pretend EVERYONE hated Hillary, stoked as they were by lies and propaganda.

Shoot, the day of the election, some Republicans were yet again starting up investigations on Benghazi, after many many former attempts collapsed for lack of evidence and reality.
