That is fake news! This one is real news.
Limbaugh also claimed the storm was being used to push an environmental agenda. He said, “People in all of these government areas” are “hell-bent” on proving climate change.
“You can accomplish a lot just by creating fear and panic,” he said. “You don’t need a hurricane to hit anywhere. All you need is to create the fear and panic accompanied by talk that climate change is causing hurricanes to become more frequent and bigger and more dangerous, and you create the panic, and it’s mission accomplished, agenda advanced.”
Quick check: Do you guys believe the Florida people are serious about the fans and bullets? Or do you think they are just having a laugh?
Regarding global warming pushing, that is correct. We've had hurricanes and tropical storms hit the east coast nearly every year for hundreds of years. The news though will take a tropical storm that most likely will peter out and drive hysteria in their reports claiming it is going to be a force 5 hurricane by the time it hits Manhattan.
Recently I saw a claim that in the historical record there were no accounts of hurricanes and therefore they are a very recent phenomenon caused by anthrocentric global warming. Now that's a conspiracy theory.
Why don't you post your own research which proves wrong the published research of respected climate scientists who overwhelmingly support the man-made climate change theory.
All you're doing is posting one-paragraph bites with unsubstantiated claims.
Response to those who claim there were no hurricanes in the past.
List of Texas hurricanes showing there's been hurricanes and/or tropical storms every single year since 1980, and more than one in most years.
Let's go back further.
Let's go back further.
So. We've had a "500 Year Flood" each year for the past 3 years. Clearly, something is going on that makes weather worse than historically possible. The simplest explanation is that humans are fucking the world up. The next simplest explanation is that God is fucking the world up.

The third is that the risk classification is totally off, and that the increased damage is for a large part caused by the increased value of stuff in the hurricane areas.
Not saying there cannot be effects of climate change and human influence, just that it isn't the largest component in what happens at the moment.

To Lotti's point about increased stuff, Miami Beach in 1925 before 1926'a cat 4 and in 2017.
> We've had a "500 Year Flood" each year for the past 3 years.
Yeah that's complete bullshit.
The news shouting that a Category 5 is going to hit Florida for the first time since 1924 is fake news.
Irma made landfall as a Category 4.
Last time Florida got hit with the same size hurricane was ... 2016. One year ago, Matthew. Before that, Charley in 2004. Andrew in 1992 was Category 5, bigger.
