Please be aware that your fingerprint ID on iPhone is bad.
I've heard a proposal that your fingerprint should NOT be a password -- passwords should be changed. Instead, it can be like a user-name. Everyone knows your user-name. You don't change your user-name very often, if at all.
But your password, nobody should know it, and you should change it periodically just in case someone learns what it is.
You can't change your fingerprint.
If it can be recorded - needed for the device to allow you access - it can be copied and replayed.

Exactly. And once recorded -- well, your finger print is your fingerprint. Amputation and replacement with an alternate finger seems an extreme step.
So use fingerprint for ID -- NOT for password.
My wife is welcome to look at anything I own or look at anything I do.
She knows all my passwords.
So you can change your password a max of 10 times over your life.
Do toes have whorls like fingers do? If so make that 20.

"you can change your password a max of 10 times"
Say what now? Is that an actual limitation of the iPhone?
