Check out the balls on Manafort

> The agreement that Paul Manafort and Special Counsel Robert Mueller had seemed to have come to on releasing him from home arrest has fallen apart due to what prosecutors described in court filings Monday as an op-ed Manafort was “ghostwriting” with a Russia-based colleague “regarding his political work for Ukraine.”

> The colleague has been “assessed to have ties to a Russian intelligence service,”

> Even if the ghostwritten op-ed were entirely accurate, fair, and balanced, it would be a violation of this Court’s November 8 Order if it had been published,”

How did they find out?  I assume they've been wiretapping these fuckfaces since 2016 and are letting them dig themselves in nice and deep before they bring the hammer down.

Why does an oped Manafort was working on last week indicate anything about 2016?

I'm not sure why they let him have house arrest. Put this guy in Rikers you'll get everything you need inside of a week.

I hope they revoke bail and send him to Riker's or wherever it is they send poor defendants who can't make bail.

The story says he's been working with someone that has links to Russian intelligence.

It's possible the FBI was already wiretapping Russian state actors in the US, in 2016, and when they contacted Trump's mopes they became ensnared in the wiretap too.

That would explain how they found out about it: they're still watching the Russian agents.

Or maybe all of your communications are automatically wiretapped if you're a big enough scumbag out on bail.  What do I know.

I think that's what happened.

100,000% of these claims have been found to be bullshit. What makes this one of your thousands of claims different from all the rest that we should believe this is the one time you aren't spouting crap because you're a compulsive liar?

"On the 29th, the Obama administration announced sanctions against Russia and expelled 35 officials from the Russian Embassy"

What sort of pathetic luser fuckturd passes sanctions against another country less than a month before a new administration takes office, without consulting with the incoming democratically elected administration?

Has anything this improper, such as what Obama did here, ever happened in the entire history of the United States of America? Can anyone find an example?

Manafort was attempting to influence potential jurors by publishing the editorial. He agreed, as a condition of bail, not to "try the case in the press". This proposed editorial would be jury tampering.

All true Pie. But what’s the connection to 2016

None true pie. A person accused of a crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty. He has a fundamental right to defend himself against the charges.

You argue that his defending himself is "jury tampering". In your view, the prosecution makes its case and the defendant is just supposed to shut the fuck up.

Prosecution has certainly been all over the media presenting their point of view, as have you, here, saying he is guilty. Why haven't you been arrested for "jury tampering" then?

Apparently he's already pleaded guilty.  So he's not "innocent until proven guilty", he IS guilty (by his own pleading).

So that's why "House arrest" (which does sound fishy) and first-amendment limitations on a criminal.

The wiki article on Manafort is pretty good.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Manafort

He's been behind the scenes inserting himself into every Republican candidate since Ford and was instrumental in getting Reagan and the Bushes elected.

He's one of these guys like Kissinger who seems to know everyone and you don't know who he is really working for, but it's probably not you.

"only in time of war"

I don't think so, but am not sure.

In 1791 Thomas Jefferson said that state official who cooperated with the establishment of Alexander Hamilton's "Federal Reserve Bank" was guilty of treason against the state of Virginia and should be summarily executed. The treason there didn't seem to involve specific foreign powers.

Here's how it makes sense.

Obama learns there's some kind of collusion between Russia and Trump.

Trump wins the election.  Shit.

Obama turns up the gain on intelligence gathering.  He issues a few executive orders that seem like procedural minutia to allow the NSA and FBI to share more intelligence.

The entire US intelligence community is now listening very closely to Russian actors and also Trump.  The mics are now turned up to 11.

Obama does something to agitate the fuck out of Russia: kicks a ton of their spies out of the US and sanctions the country.

Russia and Trump go nuts calling each other to try to figure out what to do, spilling the details of collusion between them.  And now it's all on tape.

That's the theory anyway.  If true, that would be some actual 4d chess on Obama's part.

We'll see what ends up in court.
