Trump has proven that a country can function without a leader

The Trump administration seems to be entertainment for the masses rather than actual leadership.

His first year has been a darkly hilarious reality show, almost like a comedy version of Survivor with contestants being eliminated one after the other, "the tribe has spoken"...

He's set a new low standard for decorum as President, making a mockery of the position however unintentionally, he channels the masses in easy Twitter sentences that his base loves.

He's the first president fully sustained by social media. The Trump years will become documentary fodder for decades I reckon, people will look back at this time and try to make sense of it.

I wonder about the great great great grandchildren of the Republicans who could put an end to this nonsense. What are they going to think of their ancestor?

Do all of you who are US citizens get the tax cut?
Do all of you who are US citizens see that there are more jobs coming back?
Do all of you who are US citizens see that terrorists are retreating?

Prez Trump is working fine.

In the future, when they do movies and TV series about this time, our kids will think the actors are hamming Trump up.  Then we'll say no, he really was like a screaming rage mango.

For one minute, can you guy give me a list of things that the LEFT has done so wrong to push the country in the other direction? Anyone?

They elected a black man as President.

They expanded the social safety net.

They support abortion rights.

Apparently, that's enough to enable Fox-News and the Tea-Partiers to motivate their followers to vote for right-wing extremists masking themselves as "moderates".

If by the 'Left' you mean the DNC/Hillary then they are just as much in the pocket of the corporations as the 'Right'.

The nearest to genuine 'left' is probably Bernie, which is maybe why he didn't get the nomination?

They elected a black man as President.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Lot of White, Asian, and Hispanic people gave him a chance to prove himself. He didn't really do a good job but voted in again second time by the Black people. Now, you see a lot of stupid decisions he made and hid from the American people. Iran's deal, Global warming deal, World trade deal, Immigration deal, blah blah blah. He didn't do what is good for the country.

Let look at Keystone pipeline. If you are a business owner and applied for a permit. You want the answer to come back to you in a timely fashion: yes or no. Don't fucking take 8 years and then says no at the end. This is the decision making process of a shithole who has never run a hotdog stand.

They expanded the social safety net.

You meant Obama gave out more to welfare people?

They support abortion rights.

Oh one more thing about Obama. He wants to "spread the wealth". If he has done what JFK did, which is cutting taxes, he would have been a good President! He spread the wealth all right: some welfare check raise for votes and the rest of it to himself.

Dude.  You ASKED what had the left done that drove the right further right.

I answered.

JFK BALANCED THE BUDGET.  THEN he cut taxes.  Obama had a trillion dollar deficit when he came in, AND a Great Recession.  That is NOT the time to cut taxes and increase the deficit.

I'm a moron for sure. I see the benefit of paying 21% tax rate vs 35%. You are, on the other hand, a SHITHOLE.

Actually that’s a great time to cut taxes. Stimulate. Read your Keynes.

Tax cuts do not stimulate, except in Republican Laffer curve fever dreams.  Or, maybe, if your tax rate is over 50%, then maybe, tax-cuts can stimulate.  A little.  If your budget is balanced.

Otherwise, Republican Laffer-curve fever dream.

Government spending stimulates.

Helped by slightly increased tax rates on the wealthy, to prevent the Government spending from creating a deficit.
