New UK Government report on Sharia law in the UK
It makes sense to require state registration of Muslim marriages, I find it quite staggering that they aren’t already!
Does the UK recognize common law marriage? Do they recognize heterosexual contractual domestic partnerships?
Some interesting philosophical questions...
Why get married at all?
What right does the state have to ban or allow marriage, register it, or regulate it in any way?
The state does not ban or allow sexual relationships between consenting adults. Contractual non-state marriages should be recognized as valid contracts in any free society.
I think the current problem is that Muslim women are thinking they are married when legally they aren’t so if the guy then divorces them they get nothing.
I have read something to that effect, that wives are getting shafted.
> I have read something to that effect, that wives are getting shafted.
That should make Idiot so happy.
