Y'all are a bunch of wankers!

Opportunity cost

It's morning and I have to go to work but thinking about yesterday, do you think this is a valid philosophical idea?

In a post-scarcity world, how do you define "good" and "bad"? Like "no work" is definitely bad, while "full time slavery" I guess would be good.

OK, not slavery but employment. FTE == Nirvana. No right to complain since opposite of scarcity.

I think beyond a certain threshold, one must also consider the negative cost of missed opportunities introduced by wasting one's life away at FTE.

Remember: sponge ass wipe != optimum.

Io, I'm unemployed. That means I leave potential money on the table.

The term "status quo" is actually Latin. Not many people know that.

It originally did apply to criticism of the spongia, the ass stick. Ass sticks were borrowed technology from the Greeks who referred to them as ξυλοσπόγγιον.

Interesting factoid - the sponge sticks were provided in the bathroom and you shared it with everyone else.

Seneca calls it spongia.

Claudius Terentianus used the term "xylesphongium", which is closer to the Greek and probably the formal Latin term:

Wikipedia pulls out "tersorium":

Also points out that a toilet in the baths at Ostia says on the wall "utaris xylosphongio", "use the sponge", basically meaning "don't forget to wipe your ass".
