CoT know more about 'Bellingcat' than the NYT

One minute they're trying to portray this guy as an 'armchair investigator' / blogger posting from his laptop in his apartment.

The next minute they're talking about 'Bellingcat researchers' and ' investigators' mass-mailing queries to “hundreds and hundreds”, then a reporter sent to the village interviews people who despite not seeing the 'agent' for at least 20 years are completely happy to confirm his identity from the WRONG photograph.

Just how stupid and/or lazy are NYT journalists?
