Atlanta: Black Gay Capital of the USA

According to all the gay men I saw today at Chicago's Black Gay Pride Event(s), all the black homos have moved to Atlanta.

It is ridiculous, from what I hear.

Yea, there is a certainly a big gay community.  E.g. google "midtown/piedmont gay".  And today's pride (which I missed this year) probably is nuts.

I got my Obama Pride button.

It has pride.obama.com or something on it. And a rainbow.

I'm going to wear it to work and put the sticker up in my desk area.

I'm poking fun, Bot.

My ex and I used to go to Pride here in Indy, with her chorus, back before it became obvious that maybe she'd be going even without the chorus.

It is an interesting culture.

There is this one gay guy that kind of hangs out with us.  Of my friends, I normally hang with alpha males, rednecks (people with accents), etc.  You can tell that the tough guys don't want the gays around.  "Sit in the corner or go away so we can relax".  I see that and go what a sick world we live in.

So where do you go then?

I am convinced that "gays" receive way more prejudice today than various races.  Blacks, Hispanics, etc.

Why can't they relax when gay people are around?

Because a tight ass feels so much better than a loose?

Because they are dumb and backwards.  Here is evidence of it.

I don't mind talking to others.  I am a freak.  I don't care.  The other people in this so called crew don't talk to them.  Especially the males.  The women and especially "bi" women befriend the gay guys and their friends.

Who are the gay guys?  I only have a couple of "gay" friends.  Actually we aren't friends, but we end up at the same place, talking to the same people.  This one guy is very effeminate, when he talks, the room kind of goes silent.

But it begs the question.  Can hetero guys and gay guys hang out.  Become close friends? I don't have any "close" friends, so I don't know.  Is it normal?  Abnormal?

Only in Chicago?

I know we see it in the movies, in Hollywood.  But what about in middle America.  I rarely see it.

Thanks, sharky.  Getting sleepy, though, so should call it a night soon.

Bot, I have a few gay friends, and a few straight ones, and basically no close friends any more.

Don't think a straight person and gay person could ever be good friends.

Ever.

Unless they are a member of your family

Maybe not in your case, dB.

Certainly it works for some.

Definitely. Actually, gay guys are a straight guy's best friend. Two words: fag hags. I'm sure they get tired of the whining "All the best ones play for your team!"

>Can hetero guys and gay guys hang out?
Yes. [1]

>Become close friends?
Yes. [2]

I had a room-mate who was gay [3]. Eventually, he used up all the gay men in South Florida, so he moved to Hotlanta.

Notes:
1 - Many straight guys are insecure about their sexuality. Which is why they get all wierded out around gay men. Like they're afraid of getting some secret backrub that will flip them. Or something.
2 - Most straight guys aren't capable of becoming close friends with anyone - male or female. It is part of the defective antisocialization that leads to note 1 above. The constant pressure to "win" prevents one from being able to become close friends with anyone - because you have to beat them, and they're the enemy.
3 - His friends were convinced that I was a closet case because I didn't run screaming out of the house when he came out to me. Not a chance. I needed the place to live. Sheeeit. I lived in Iran, I can put up with someone as queer as a three dollar bill.

I have it on good authority that there ARE no gays in Iran.  Any gays they know about are immediately killed.

Thus, no gays.  In a related action, they removed all the speedometers from their cars.  Thus, they have no speeders, either.
