Yeah. Okay.
http://www.scienceblog.com/cms/contagious_obesity_identifying_the_human_adenoviruses_that_may_make_us_fat_9901
Obesity is caused by a virusnah. that cannot be right. *everyone* knows that obesity is caused by the moral corruption of those suffering from it.
we need to engineer a virus to eat the fat. that's what we should do.
++ Cortisol causes belly fat.
++ Relacore reduces cortisol. ++ You need Relacore! I didn't quite catch that, can you repeat it? ++ Cortisol causes belly fat. ++ Relacore reduces cortisol. ++ You need Relacore! Erm no, still not getting it. Again? ++ Cortisol causes belly fat. ++ Relacore reduces cortisol. ++ You need Relacore! Oh. Better rush out and buy some Relacore then? (If there was ever any subtlety in US TV adverts, it has by now been completely expunged from the business. But do they seriously think the in-your-face shouting at people approach is really going to work?) All Bs are As.
All Cs are Bs. ----------- All Cs are As What part of syllogism don't you understand? Moron :) Twinkies and cake and cream cheese and the ilk are very awful viruses.
It's a virus that hits the US much more than any other country, and in fact it tends to amazingly only hit specific areas (e.g. Texas).
No, obesity couldn't possibly be a lifestyle problem. did you remember to read the article before spouting off?
specifically: "The nearly simultaneous increase in the prevalence of obesity in most countries of the world is difficult to explain by changes in food intake and exercise alone, and suggest that adenoviruses could have contributed," " I think hes saying that texans are the only people who eat copious amounts of junk food in the US.
its a well known fact amongst the better educated moron. "I think hes saying that texans are the only people who eat copious amounts of junk food in the US."
HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHA "its a well known fact amongst the better educated moron." No it's not, moron. Who's the "better educated moron"? Isn't that a contradiction of terms? Maybe not here, though...
Well, I ain't never heard of no highboy gland, but what a blimp.
"No it's not, moron."
i stand corrected. thats for giving us a morons insight here. Part of me is going "what a load of hooey" until I start thinking about 3 diseases that used to be defined as lifestyle diseases and are now, well, something else.
1 - Ulcers. Used to be "its what's eating you that's eating you." Now recognized to be an infection. Cured by a course of antibiotics, not a lifetime supply of antiacids. 2 - Cervical cancer. Found to be caused by HPV - human papiloma virus. 3 - Penile cancer (very rare in circumcised men, more common in the uncut). Also caused by HPV. The wingnuts are trying to prevent testing (and thus distribution) of HPV vaccines in the US. They want your dick to fall off, or your cervix to rot and fall out instead of letting you get a vaccine to prevent it. The principle appears that you deserve every sexually transmitted disease you get, even if you weren't at fault. It looks like you'll need to travel to Canada or some other nonUS destination when you want to get vaccinated against HPV (and it would probably be a good pre-teen gift for your kids). We are so heavily surrounded by bacteria and viruses, I wonder just what other "lifestyle" diseases will end up being identified as caused by Bacteria_X or Virus_Y. The AMA for the first 100+ years of its life claimed that "diet has no effect on health, and it is quackery to say otherwise" until they finally admitted in the early 1970s that cholesterol isn't good for you. On a slightly different note, I got the flu/cold/plague that was running around Denver. Doctor says that the opportunistic infection that everyone is seeing after recovering from the viral infection is pertussis. Also known as "whooping cough." I've never received such large bottles of narcotic cough syrup (2 of them, 250ml each), and with hydrocodone (aka vicodin) too. >> I think hes saying that texans are the only people who eat copious amounts of junk food in the US. <<
Well, obviously not only Texans. But most of the large cities in Texas (Houston, I'm talking about you, bud) have been on the Men's Fitness "Fattest Cities in America" list for several years running, each competing for the top spot. So, example, does that mean that normally sized single guys (but not super buff or atheletic) should move to Texas because they have such poor competition for the ladies?
If this guy can get some, then there's no problem for a normal-sized person.
