Mailed to Stmp.com -
"We at XYZ have managed to integrate our software with Stamps.com. There is however one niggling issue - should we register the typelibrary (the .tlb file) during installation of our software ?
We're asking this question because our application is being deployed via ClickOnce. And we might have to write a separate installer to register the type library. The problem doesnt lie with writing the installer, but we would like to know whether it is possible to integrate with Stamps.com without using the type library at all. We've explored using late binding in our .Net 2.0 application to integrate with Stamps.com, but it seems like the type library must be registered for both late and early binding. Hence, we would like to know if there is any method to integrate with Stamps.com without the type library registration."
I hope those guys get to know what a type library is used for.
