Keyboard Shortcut issue?

On my computer here at work, whenever I press the Ctrl key twice in rapid succession, my NumLock/CapsLock/ScrollLock lights begin flashing and my keyboard is non-responsive except for the Escape key (which stops the flashing).  It doesn't matter if it's the left or right Ctrl key (or a combination.)  This is very annoying as I often will trigger this combo while I'm working.  This is an IBM keyboard and an IBM ThinkCentre computer.  My google-fu is failing me.  Anyone know what this might be?

Sounds like the preamble to programming the keyboard.

Is the box running Linux/Unix ?

Tracked it down... I'm hooked up to an Avocent KVM and Ctrl Ctrl is a hotkey for that thing.  How obnoxious.

You didn't know you were hooked to a KVM?

Or if you did know about the KVM, you didn't know its hot-key sequence?

I didn't know the hotkey sequence of the KVM.  I did know that I was hooked up to one.  I simply forgot about it (despite it sitting right here) as I almost never switch to my other machine.
