Tux Paint *rocks*

I had Thing 2 all to myself this morning, so I downloaded it spent a short time showing her the basics of how it worked.

in pretty much no time at all she was able to draw, erase, change color, and change brush shape.

she loved it.

I wandered out and mowed the lawns, while she pottered about on it.

When ms wSV and Thing 1 came home, I showed Thing 1 and left thing 2 giving her further instruction.

now they can both do it.

that is pretty cool, this is really the most complex thing Ive seen them do on the computer, up until now they've just played the memory card game and one or two other simple little things.

*and* this is on a laptop, with no mouse, so they are actually having to use the trackpad.

clever wee monkeys.  and clever tux.

the teaching each other thing is actually pretty cool, they seem to have their own shared memory pool, show one of them something and within a day or two the other will be utilising it.

it still amazes me how much they...enjoy...the other being around and helping while they do stuff, Ive never really felt that about anyone else, except ms wSV, and even with her I still prefer to do things on my on, all else being equal.

I have a really hard time understanding it, I keep having to stop myself from telling whichever Thing isn't in front of the computer to leave the other alone.....on the odd occasion that I forget, the one using the computer tells me to sod off becaues she wants the help.

my sister and I were like that, except I was older, so I was always the one doing the teaching.  It would have been fun to have a twin for that purpose.

I almost wish I had twins for that reason - my sis and I have quite a bond, and I would love for my kids to have that too.  But that's not up to me, I guess.

Girls generally like to do things communally, while men want to figure it all out on their own.

If your twins had been boys this might be very different.
