We had to program with 1s and 0s. And to use 0s, we had to carve those out of potatoes.

I don't know.  Does it come with Firefox now or does it come with ALL Java upgrades/installs?

If either one is true then maybe.

I just tried it.  You visit a javafx example and if you don't have the javafx runtime, then it will download it.  The entire system runs on the JVM.

I still can't tell if the runtime needed to be embedded in each app or not.  E.g. how big is a javafx jar?  If it is small, then probably not included.

I want to build a slideshow for a presentation I am doing.  I think I will use javafx.

So, this is my theory but I am not 100%.

Layer 1: Java runtime (JRE)
Layer 2. JavaFX runtime
Layer 3: JavaFX application/script
Layer 4: Browser (Firefox/IE)

As someone who doesn't allow Java, Javascript, ActiveX, or any of that other bullshit, no. Then again, I know I'm in the minority, so maybe it's true.

I doubt even half those 100 million people with this installed have any idea what it is.
