It is rather ironic that the very group of people that many of we Brits think should have no role in governing our country, the hereditary and non-elected peers, have saved the lot of us from a mistake. Maybe those old crusties are worth something after all!
Yeah, ever since I joined NO2ID pledge I've been hoping it gets quashed before it comes to protest. It's all very well joining the protest in principle, but the thought of actually following through is unnerving - mainly because I couldn't convince any of my friends to sign up.
I signed up for that too, and in some small way I hope it *does* come to pass -- it's been a while since I did any civil disobedience, and I always found it quite invgourating. :)
