I had originally considered putting in all the links..  going from ?off to there was a natural part of my day.  But maybe it's good to make a clean break.

I dont really agree.  this place (?off in general) came about because of a mutual interest in Joels site, most of us probably still retain that interest.

so why not make it easy for ourselves?

Joel showed profound lack of respect and even utter disdain for us all when he closed the forum on 3 hours' notice with little explanation and a LOT of condescension.

I retain NONE of my interest in his site and I don't see why any of you would, either, frankly.

?? my interest in JoS was never great, but it was also never based on his interest in, or appreciation of, me.

Frankly Joels opinions on ?off, myself, and markTAW are incredibly boring.

whats *interesting* is making the effort to get from here to JoS as easy as possible.

My interest isn't based on Joel sucking *my* dick, either, but I have much less interest now that he's gone ahead and spat on it.

- I like the familiar look and feel of COT much more,
- I think the general trend was towards here, away from Ectopia
- Simon's got a bug up his ass about the "competition" aspect

Ultimately Jos is a geek site with a heap of programmers.  admittedly I personally believe that ?off contained most of the *interesting* people, but even despite that the occasional thread of interest appears in the other forums and Ill keep check.

ultimately I dont follow a lot of geek sites...just slashdot, JoS and here.....and....and....now thats all changing...and I feel so alone....and Simon doesn't love me anymore....and..and I WANT MY LINK TO JoS....::sniff::....
